How to animate a character blinking in animation
Blinking adds life to an animated character. Start by defining the key poses: closed eyelids, halfway, and fully open. In-between the key poses, adjust the speed of the blink to reflect the character’s emotional state. For a natural blink, timing is crucial; slower blinks often occur in moments of relaxation, while quick blinks happen during surprise or focus. Add slight head or eye movements for added realism.
