How to animate a character’s clothes in motion
The key to animating clothes is understanding the fabric’s weight and how it responds to the character’s movement. Use keyframes to define the starting and ending positions of the clothing and adjust for secondary motion. Add in-betweens to create natural folds and shifts. Pay special attention to the wind and gravity that affect the fabric, such as a cape billowing in the breeze or a skirt fluttering with each step.
